If you’re visiting Berlin for the first time, this guided shore excursion offers a clear and respectful way to see both the city’s top landmarks and the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial. You’ll be picked up right at your cruise ship in Warnemünde or Rostock and travel comfortably to Berlin, where a local guide will introduce you to key highlights across the city. In the afternoon, you’ll continue to Sachsenhausen, located about an hour outside Berlin, for a brief visit and overview of the site. Because it lies along the return route to port, this schedule helps reduce total travel time—though this tour includes more time on the bus than our standard Berlin-only option. Each tour is carefully timed to your ship’s docking schedule, and we always return with time to spare. This tour will include some walking. Please make sure to bring comfortable footwear, weather appropriate clothing and an umbrella – just in case. You will be able to store your possessions on the bus – the door of the bus will be locked at all times when the driver is not on board.
Please bring some change in EUR for toilet stops, beverages and for lunch. If you do not have any EUR with you, please ask your tour guide in Berlin to arrange for a stop at an ATM – it’s no problem! US dollars are not accepted as legal tender in Germany. Please also note that many restaurants and stores in Berlin only accept cash, not credit cards.
