Shiratani-Unsuikyo Trekking Tour in Yakushima Island
Overview
Explore the mossy green forest of Shiratani-Unsuikyo on Japan's Yakushima Island on this 3- to 7-hour guided tour from Isso and Kurio. In a small group of no more than four, soak up the forest's natural beauty and understand why is said to depict the world of Hayao Miyazaki’s famous animation film "Princess Mononoke." On the way back, usually we take the same route (about 6 hrs in total), or if you enjoy the forest longer, we can make a detour on a different route which is less crowded with tourists and more relaxing (7 hrs at most).
