Self-guided adventure tour through the Danube Marshes







Overview
Explore the Danube meadows near Günzburg in a special way : Accompanied by a curious beaver, you will discover one of the most species-rich habitats in the region. The adventure route takes you along an easily accessible nature trail along the Danube, past ponds, sandy slopes and shady stretches of floodplain forest. The approximately 5.8 km long route is varied and easy to walk. At several stations you will become active yourself : you will observe the landscape, listen carefully, compare tracks and solve small tasks around animals, plants and the power of water. You will learn why flooding is important for nature and why sandy slopes are valuable breeding grounds. The tour works self-guided via smartphone and GPS. Your phone will take you to the stations where content and tasks are unlocked. You can start flexibly and choose your own pace. Ideal for families with children and nature-loving adults.
