Overview

You will learn of the legends around some of the most iconic locations in Winchester. You will get to know notable characters of kings, queens and bishops that work hard to give the city its hard earned reputation, such as King Alfred. This tour covers a wide range of historical events, walking through different sections of the city to get your to connect with its character and beautiful architecture inspired by prominent buildings like Winchester cathedral and the old castle. It is not every day that you visit the ancient capital of the kingdom with a medieval historian! *Although Dr Lillian Cespedes Gonzalez (PhD historian) delivers the majority of the tours the team has grown since 2021.
