Swimming is optional, waterproof phone cases are provided, and your belongings remain safely supervised during the water sections. After the gorge, you choose your beach experience: Kalypso Beach, a secluded cove with deep, clear waters ideal for swimming, or Preveli Beach, known for its river and palm forest. (Please note that only the surrounding area of Preveli was affected by a fire on July 29, 2026. Preveli remains an option; however, for this season, we recommend Kalypso as the preferred beach experience) Then, we can pause for lunch at a cozy taverna, enjoying delicious local flavors and warm hospitality.

Access to Kourtaliotiko Gorge is subject to local authority regulations and may occasionally be restricted due to weather or safety conditions. Should this happen, we will adjust the itinerary by visiting both Preveli Beach and Kalypso Beach, ensuring you still enjoy a complete full-day experience
Kourtaliotiko Gorge and Preveli Beach require walking on uneven terrain, steps, and moderate inclines
Travelers should bring swimwear, a beach towel, wear suitable footwear for uneven terrain, and bring water shoes if they have them
Travelers from cruise ships should choose the earliest possible option
Travelers staying outside the standard pickup area (including Elounda, Agios Nikolaos, and Chania) should contact us before booking. Pickup from these areas may be available upon request and, if confirmed, an additional transportation fee may apply
