Kongo River Sunset Experience in Canoe

4.4 · 9 Reviews

Overview

Marvel at the setting sun at the northern tip of Diani where you will find the oldest Mosque, smooth white sand dune as you sail through mangroves and palm trees onboard a non-motorized canoe Stop at Kongo Mosque, where we will meet the guide and walk to the Estuary as we exchange pleasantries and get a short introduction of the trip, then board a traditional canoe. Sail down Kongo River watching the beautiful sunset leaving the ocean behind and get to experience gorgeous Kongo river estuary, the ever-changing sandy beach and the great waves The Canoe is powered by human energy which means no engines and no dirty fumes entering the water Not only is this trip very relaxing and serene, it carries great history that the captain will explain to you as he rows along the mangrove filled water. The trip is great for bird lovers and bird watchers as the river invites over 30 species of birds who come looking for food. Feel free to ask the captain any questions regarding the area
