In front of the city stands the magnificent Kronborg Castle, its spires piercing the sky with authority. The castle is furthermore immortalized by Shakespeare as Elsinore, the setting for his tragic play "Hamlet". The Sound Dues, locally known as Øresundstolden, were a toll paid here to the Danish Crown. Remember you can take breaks along the way whenever you like.
