Guided Tour in Toulon: Provencal Port & Splendid Old City

4.8 · 58 Reviews

Overview

Toulon is as old as time. Its importance as a central port city in the Mediterranean coast goes back to Greek & Roman times. Toulon is a permanent base for the French Navy and also served Napoleon as the port from which he embarked on his journey to Egypt. We will walk along the port dock, discuss the history of the city, look at the famous statues in front of the town hall. We will then cut into the old city and famous Provencal market and explore some of the local specialties. We will continue into the heart of the old city, looking at houses, fountains, telling stories, and presenting the previously vibrant figures of Toulon. Cruise ship passenger? My pleasure to meet you at the terminal or as you get off your tender boat. Small groups and I speak with you, not at you. Hundreds of passengers have enjoyed the city with me. Perfect for people with reduced mobility, as it's all flat with no stairs. Look no further, if searching for a tour in Toulon! I can't wait to meet you :-)
