Overview
The circuit of the Cordillera Huayhuash lasts 8 days, almost always moves at altitudes over 4000m and overcomes at 170 km distance 7 passes between 4300 and 5000m. Surefootedness, a head for heights, a good physical condition, team spirit and willingness to leave your comfort zone. The Cordillera Huayhuash is a compact mountain range 30 kilometers in length, with six peaks over 6000 meters and dozens higher than 5000 meters. It is home to condors and at least 85 other bird species, viscachas (similar to a chinchilla), the emblematic vicuña, and 12 more species of mammals.
