Located southeast of Colombo, the Bundala National Park is one of the most popular bird sanctuaries in Sri Lanka, and it is a frequented destination among native and non-native visitor birds alike. Alongside numerous sightings of rare birds, one may also stumble upon a variety of mammals, some of which include Asian elephants, and the renowned Sri Lankan fishing cat.
